The Man from Odessa covers the author's life from recruitment to MI5, work for MI6, all the way through to his career after being exchanged for the Soviet spy Gordon Lonsdale. I don't normally read about international espionage, but I really enjoyed the frank tone of narration. I can't speak for the veracity of the events, but I found it easy to read and compelling.
