Romance: CHECKAction: CHECKHumor: CHECKBetrayal: CHECKPlot twists: DOUBLE CHECKThis series is one of my favorites by far! It sucked me in from the start considering they all automatically start with an action scene. The intensity only rises the farther you read and you would not BELIEVE how many times I had to sit back and let my heart and mind get past all the punches. This story tore so many loud gasps from my lips. There's action in every turn plus some great and hilarious comebacks! All of t [...]

I received this ebook through ebooksforreview in exchange for an honest review. This book includes the first three books of Rachel Morgan’s series Creepy Hollow. These three stories are told from Violet’s point of view. This is something I really liked in the book. Unlike many other books, this one is told in first person narrative. I believe this way of telling a story really helps increase the suspense and keep the reader interested since you only know what the character knows. This series o [...]

One of my favorite fantasy series!!! Love it!!! <3 My favorite book in the series is the second but each story is a 5 star rating from me :D

I received the set in exchange for reviews, and I’m so glad I did. This is easily one of my favorite series of all time! This series is not 100% predictable like some fairy books, and it feels fresh. The characters are lovable even with their flaws. I wish I could train to be a fairy guardian, but alas, I am not even a halfling, so I'll have to live through these books. I love the extra chapters/scenes included in the set! They give you other character’s point of views to fill in key scenes [...]

Rachel Morgan is an amazing talented author, and she has brought to life a very lovable character. We get to watch Violet grow from an extraordinary fairy fighting to earn top ranks in her class to a Guardian fighting for their lives. There are so many twists and turns in this story that you don’t want to put your book down. I was engaged from the very beginning to the end of the third book and can’t wait to get my hands on the 4th book. I rant and rave about this book to all my friends that [...]

Violet Fairdale wants to be the top of her guardian class, but being the best comes at a price in Rachel Morgan's Creepy Hollow: Violet's Story. A fast-paced series, I soon wished I could live in Creepy Hollow. Violet is quite the kickbutt heroine. I swooned over Ryn and enjoyed seeing how everything played out. With fantastic world-building and characters a person can root for, Creepy Hollow: Violet's Story is perfect for teens and anyone who enjoys a great story.

Wow not come across this author or read this type of book before.Fresh, different no inappropriate language and so imaginative.Great to read all three together – what a joy and when the weather was so bad at the weekend I had such a book fest. The covers are so beautifully illustrated too, and that really does entice the reader into this wonderful world the author has created.I am hooked now so glad I was asked to review these great books.

At first, I wasn't too interested in Calla's story but when it came on sale I thought I give it a try. And I'm glad I did! The characters of Creepy Hollow start to grow on me and I really like the world Rachel Morgan has created here.Again, we have a girl (Calla) having feelings for the wrong guy and developing feelings for the right guy who seems to be the wrong one. Sounds complicated? Yes, a bit. Sounds familiar? Yes, a bit like Violet's story. That's the only critique I have.I like how Calla [...]

I highly recommend the whole series. It is a delightful read for those who love fantasy. The characters are well developed and you find yourself caring for them and wanting their happiness. There is plenty of action and romance too. This group of stories features Calla. Violet was the main character in the first part of the series. She married Ryn and Calla is his younger sister. Calla always wanted the opportunity to be a Guardian like her big brother. She has a big secret that makes it difficu [...]

Starting a bit slow and and only got me completely halfway through when there is a major twist and characters are turning. The books get better and better. At first I was a bit wondering as the main character seemed to act quite immature but not in a bad way. The second book is fairly slow but the third book is full of action as we reach the climax of the total story. All in all well done. I just don't like cliffhangers and these books all end on major ones. There is no way to not read all of th [...]

I love this series. I think it is absolutely fantastic, it kept me interested the whole time I read it. The only part I don't like is that I thought it was totally lame that Violet lost her memory at the end of book 2 going into book three. I felt that it might have been Rachel Morgan trying to find an easy way out of the rebellion knowing that Nate was Draven. Besides that I thought that Rachel Morgan did a wonderful job writing the book and the way that it was completely shocking. I would reco [...]

oh my goodness, this was everything i've been looking for in a paranormalish/fantasy story. I've been craving a good one, and well, here it is!I love the story- I loved Violet and Ryn, and so enjoyed the adventures they went on and their constant bantering. The heartbreak and betrayal, the determination and the kick-butt characters- it was really amazing. I devoured this in two days. Not even--romance: cleanish. i mean, there were some intense kissing, but hey, it wasn't every other pagetion: aw [...]

    13. Christi-Anne

Um, this was AMAZING!It was heartbreaking, and beautiful, and engaging, and interesting, and unpredictable! I recommend you to read it The content was pretty clean, and it was an amazinfg story of forgiveness and guilt. I absolutely loved Calla and Chase. They. Were. Awesome!--Romance: Clean, except for the kissing but nothing beyond that, so its all good :)Violence: Mild, and kept the story interesting. We have a kick-butt heroine after all ;)Language: Hell, damn ass. That's it.

Loved it!I’m a big fantasty fan & was surprised at how much I loved this ya series. It had action, love triangles, and so many creative twists and turns. The writing was great & I read all 3 books in 3 days because I couldn’t put it down! Would definitely recommend this series!

Creepy Hollow 1 - The Faerie GuardianThe Faerie Guardian tells the story of Violet, the perfect guardian trainee that ends up messing up an assignment by accidently bringing a human boy into the faerie world. The plot of the book develops from there and gets more complex and the story develops. The Faerie Guardian really surprised me. From the beginning, I thought it was setting itself up to be a Violet and Nate story and I was okay with that. Halfway through the book I noticed that was I was get [...]

This is a collection of three books which make up the story of Violet: The Faerie Guardian, The Faerie Prince and The Faerie War. They combine to make a seamless story. If you try to read the first book alone, you will be left hanging. In my opinion, this should have been a single book from the start vs being split up. There is nothing wrong with a wonderfully long and epic tale! Therefore I recommend grabbing this collection from the start and settling in. I had a very difficult time getting in [...]

This was written for a teenage audience, I think, and it shows at the beginning. It seemed a bit ridiculous at first. That coupled with way too much language for my taste (I wouldn't want my teenage daughter to read it. Even though she hears this kind of language every day at school or whatever, I don't encourage exposure on purpose.), and I almost gave up before the half-way mark of the first book. Those are the reasons I give it a 3.5. I kept on and I'm glad I did. There were so many awesome t [...]

    18. Mylissa's Reviews and Book Thoughts

Let me start by saying I rarely read fantasy anymore. I get a lot of request to read contemporary romance, because that is what I have been focused on for a long time. I read the Trouble Series by Rachel Morgan a while back (and the idiot that I am, it took me a while into the book to realize the author was South African. I kept thinking something was off with the English, and it reminded me a lot of my South African friend Candice, and the way she speaks!) I loved that series, and so when this [...]

I love this series. Each individual book was strong and created a fantastic world that I enjoyed visiting, but as a whole these three books created one of my favorite stories of the month and overall enjoyable YA stories. When I finished reading it was so amazed at how much I loved the entire series and ending. I further enjoyed learning that there was a fourth book!! I started reading Rachel Morgan stories when I received another book of hers to review. I enjoyed her writing then and after this [...]

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.---(May contain spoiler-ish hints. Read at your own digression) My actual rating for this series would be 4.5 stars. I was pleasantly surprised with this series. When I first began reading I felt exactly like Nate as I was shoved into the Fae world. The beginning was abrupt without the lead up to action that I was used to. The first few chapters had sudden changes and felt choppy until I finally settled down into Creepy Hollow. Rach [...]

Creepy Hollow: Violet's Story (Creepy Hollow) by Rachel Morgan Faerie, Violet Fairdale, is on a quest to graduate at the top of her guardian class. While on a mission, things go wrong that will affect the entire Fae realm. I love this series! If you haven’t read the Creepy Hollow series yet, do yourself a favor and pick up this box set versus buying each book on its own, because once you get started you will not want to put it down. Violet is an incredible heroine. Her parents die when she i [...]

This book has 3 books: The Faerie Guardian, The Faerie Prince, and The Faerie War. I didn't really enjoy the first one. Violet and a few of the other characters seemed to really irritate me and I did quite a bit of eye rolling. If I had just had the first book, I wouldn't have continued the series. As it was, book 1 took me a long time to get through it. However.I noticed all around growth in the second book (characters, plot, etc.). While the second book didn't blow me away, it did manage to ke [...]

Previously I have read two books by Rachel Morgan from her The Trouble series and I loved them, they are my cuppa tea. This Creepy Hollow series is outside of my usual reading genres, fantasy is a category that I very rarely read (and I read quite a bit!) but since I enjoyed Rachel’s other books immensely, I wanted to give this series a chance and venture into a faerie world for a change. I was given this ebook compilation set in exchange for an honest review and here it is: This story collect [...]

This turned out to be a really great series! I really enjoyed all three of the books. The first story was very interesting, it introduces you to this alternate fairy world that is interesting, different and exciting. There was plenty of adventure, a sweet romance and great, kick butt characters as well. The main character, Violet is capable, strong and very likeable, which are important qualities for me. Stupid or weak heroines drive me crazy and she was neither of those. I was surprised by the r [...]

Creepy Hollow: Violet’s Story is a bind up of Rachel Morgan’s first three stories in the Creepy Hollow Series. The Faerie Guardian is the first book. In it, you get introduced to Violet Fairdale, the protagonist, and the Fae world. This book opens you up into the complex world of faeries and tells you a myriad of things about Violet’s life. The Faerie Prince is the second Creepy Hollow book and The Faerie War is the third.I really loved these books. I’m not a lot like Violet, but I still [...]

The Faerie Guardian-This book is amazing total what i expected it to be a great faerie story with lots of twists and turns. You never know what to expect, you think you know what going to happen and then nope author pulls a plot twist our of no where. I am total fan hooked and will be picking up the rest of this series. The Faerie Prince- This is the second book in this amazing series. Unlike the first the book their is not as much action in this one as Violet is coming to the end of her training [...]

This is a fun teen series not unlike the Mortal Instruments series. Kick-butt faerie Violet Fairdale is about to graduate as the top guardian trainee of her class, but when an assignment goes wrong and the human guy she’s meant to be protecting follows her back into the fae realm, a dangerous plot is set in motion. Enter evil faeries, long-lost family members, and inconvenient feelings of the romantic kind. The stakes are higher than Vi could ever imagine, and it'll take every bit of her train [...]

This is a young adult trilogy about Violet Fairdale, a teenage fairy in training to become a guardian. The storyline that weaves throughout the trilogy, which centers around the rise of Lord Draven, a halfling who wants to enslave all fae, and Violet's role in fulfilling a prophecy telling of Lord Draven's defeat, is absolutely fantastic. The first book seemed a little slow in comparison to the rest of the trilogy, and there were some parts of the story that left me scratching my head about some [...]

I loved this book. Right from page one it had me hooked and I couldn't stop until I reached the end!The perfect combination of faeries and magic, good versus evil, battles and romance, 'Creepy Hollow' is the ultimate 'The Magic Faraway Tree' for young adults and older adults too (I'm in my 40s!) Rachel Morgan's writing style is flowing and effortless, her battle scenes are detailed and descriptive without losing her readers somewhere in the middle, the dialogue is believable and her ability to w [...]
