I really enjoyed this book. I think alot of what is accepted as science needs to be examined objectively and what is regarded as psuedo-science needs the same treatment. Not everything is so cut and dried.

This book is almost 20 yrs. old, but still full of interesting info & it's easy to read for a layman. There are also some black& white photos.

Mr von Däniken is famous for his books speculating about the possibility that space aliens have visited ancient societies. As implied by the title, this one touches on his thoughts about Egypt. It is still a mystery how the pyramids were built, sealed tombs are sometimes opened to find no bodies, and some of the amazing structures referred to by otherwise trustworthy ancient writers are missing. His research is very good, and his arguments compelling. However, occasionally he is drawn to flight [...]

A decent book with mostly objective reporting. This is the Daniken I want to read. One of the books I read to prepare for a book I'll be writing next year.

This is the book that first got me interested in mysterious phenomena and ancient astronauts, which is still keeping a hold on me.
